• Performs all relevant duties of a clinical pharmacist and is responsible for the overall daily operation and supervision of the pharmacy and related personnel.
• Responsible for providing quality services in an efficient manner by providing appropriate staffing, assisting in the development and implementation of new programs, policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Coordinates performance improvement programs, maintains appropriate levels of inventory/equipment/supplies and ensures continuing department education programs.
• Assures all Florida Board of Pharmacy regulatory requirements are met and serves as the consultant of record for all pharmacy operations on campus and related entities where legally applicable.
• Develops budgets and works within established guidelines, responsible for formulary management with the assistance of the P&T chair, coordinates the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and actively participates in the Value Analysis Team.
• 3-5 yrs experience in acute care setting, prefer experience in a large tertiary center or health system.
• Ability to work independently and handle stress appropriately.
• Ability to work cooperatively with physicians, and all staff.
• Must be knowledgeable and competent in drug purchase contracting, formulary management, Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee functions and IRB activities.
• Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency requests.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload.
• Ability assess situations and utilize creative problem solving techniques which result in positive outcomes.
• Ability to manage a diverse workforce and promote a strong team oriented approach.
• Effective communication skills.
•  Ability to meet pharmaceutical care needs of all patient populations (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, acute care, psychiatric, oncology, obstetric, chemically dependent, rehabilitation and skilled nursing).
• Graduate from an ACPE  accredited School of Pharmacy Pharm D preferred
• Current Pharmacist License in good standing
• Florida Consultant License required
• Must have clean background and good prior work history
