The Certified Pharmacy Technician is an Entry-Level position (based in the pharmacy) in charge of assisting in the daily operation of the pharmacy. The daily operation consists of, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing customer service
  • Assisting pharmacists when needed
  • Assisting in various pharmacy functions
  • Monitoring pharmacy conditions and following through to maintain proper standards

Qualifications

 

·         Current Pharmacy Technician Certification

·         Must be customer Service Oriented

·         Minimum 6 months Pharmacy Experience 

 

Job Requirements

 

 

The Job requirements for the Certified Pharmacy Technician consists of, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Must Have Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Provide customer service
  • The necessary interpersonal skills required to interact with guests and co-workers
  • Receives prescriptions from customers, assures validity
  • Communicates verbally with customers and store personnel
  • Dispense filled prescriptions to customers
  • Manages and monitors customer flow
  • Maintains accurate records for pharmacy
  • Rotate product, monitors code dates, removes out of code date product
  • Counting, pouring and retrieving of legend drugs for prescription filling
  • Monitors and follows up on all safety hazards
  • Practices safe drug handling procedures within the legal guidelines and regulations
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Ability to work flexible hours
