Manager Hospital Pharmacy

In this role, the chosen candidate will be relied on to manage the Drug Information Service operational, clinical, human relations and financial functions. Key functions will include forecasting, developing and implementing programs in customer service, human resources and budgetary goals that are consistent with the organizational goals. Involves marketing and promoting new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers, coordinating and facilitating Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee functions in formulary management and drug policy development, and facilitating cooperative and collaborative community and organizational relationships. This position  will also precept and teach residents and students, coordinate the overall training program and develop strategies to improve patient care and operational performance.

This position is ideal for a candidate possessing a Practice degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D), at least 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist, and a real passion for teaching and training people. Requires Utah state licensure to practice pharmacy and dispense controlled substances, a strong clinical practice background and drug information residency, and experience with the Drug Information Service or other similar service.
