Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is a flagship hospital within Banner Health, housing more than 650 licensed patient care beds. Banner Good Samaritan achieved Magnet status in June 2005 and is a Banner Health teaching facility. 

Banner Good Samaritan is currently seeking a full time Clinical Pharmacist. This position will require weekend and on-call rotation and is currently scheduled from Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Description
***Clinical Pharmacist specialist in the area of Internal Medicine with Intensive Care experience***

Functions as a therapeutic consultant in areas such as rational and appropriate use of medications, clinical pharmacology, pharmaco-kinetics, disease state management, and nutrition; actively supports formulary management and the overall medication use process; conducts educational activities that support the advancement of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and allied professionals; assists in design and implementation of clinical drug research; applies principles of continuous quality improvement; and strives to improve patient safety in all aspects.

Requirements
Requires current AZ Pharmacist Licensure (or eligibility) and a degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy with accredited residency or at least 4 years of direct patient care clincial activities. Doctor of Pharmacy preferred; experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.  This position requires independent thinking, excellent communication, listening, writing, public speaking, and analytical skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all educational levels and with a variety of professional disciplines; must be able to handle stressful situations and to function independently; requires strong organizational, operational, and time-management skills; must be able to solve mathematical problems; requires periods of prolonged sitting, standing, and walking; must be able to lift 40; must have knowledge of computer software, such as Microsoft applications and Pyxis.
