Staff Pharmacist Overview

Essential Job Functions

·          Reviews prescriptions and prepares medications for dispensing

·          Counsels pharmacy patients on medication drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals

·          Aids in helping patients obtain insurance/patient assistance options

·          Directs pharmacy technicians, assistance and interns

·          Accesses computer for data enty, pharmacy files, patient charts and inventory

·          Provides clinical care services such as Vaccines, Diabetes Management, Cholesterol and Bone Density testing and MTM

Minimum Qualifications

·          BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree

·          Active state pharmacy license

·          Strong commitment to patient care and ability to interact well with patients

·          Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations

Desired Qualifications

·          Basic computer skills

·          Flexible work schedule
