Banner Children's Hospital at Banner Desert Medical Center currently in an expansion mode will shortly be seeking a highly motivated Pediatric Pharmacists to join our team. These individuals will be responsible for the daily delivery of pharmaceutical care, Pharmacists will work in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager, Clinical Manager, and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care services appropriate for the Pediatric and Neonatal population, to ensure consistent practice within the department's policies and procedures and excellent patient care.

| Responsibilities: |
|
The Staff Pharmacist for Pediatric pharmacy is responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care to customers of the Pediatric pharmacy. The Staff Pharmacist oversees the activities of the pharmacy technicians, coordinating workflow and checking all medications prepared for patients. Additionally, the Staff Pharmacist is accountable for on-going evaluation and documentation of all components of pharmaceutical care delivered to customers of the Pediatric pharmacy. The Staff Pharmacist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the customers being served while maintaining the ideals of Service Excellence. The Staff Pharmacist must also possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each customers requirements and provide pharmaceutical care based on those needs.

| Qualifications: |
|
Requires (or eligible) pharmacy licensure in the State of Arizona and a degree in Pharmacy (advanced degree preferred) from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Prefer hospital pharmacy experience. Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of Banner Health System staff, physicians, patients and other contacts. Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer questions posed by customers. Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly pharmacy system software, Microsoft applications and Pyxis.
