POSITION SUMMARY
the Clinical Pharmacist is a registered pharmacist who is responsible for
ensuring the safe and appropriate use of drugs. Fulfillment of this
responsibility is achieved through the provision of pharmaceutical services
whose components include drug information, drug distribution and clinical
pharmacy services ith knowledge of age-specific needs from neonates through
geriatrics.
MINIMUM SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
A. Requires current California Pharmacist license.
B. Requires 1 year recent experience in hospital pharmacy or pharmacy
residencey.
C. Requires the ability to communication in oral and written English.
D. Requires knowledge of sterile products techniques.
E. Requires knowledge and experience iwth personal computers.
F. Requires proficiency and current knowledge in pharmacy and therapeutics in 5
of the following areas at all times:
Antimicrobial therapy
Pain management
Pharmacokineties
Cardiovascular drugs
Critical care medicine
Neonatal
Pediatrics
Geriatrics
Diabetics
Oncology
Neonatal or Pediatrics experience is required.
