Clinical Pharmacist Consultant - Diabetes Specialist

This is a clinical consulting position focused exclusively on diabetes disease state management.  This is pharmacy benefits management (PBM) position, and you will consult with patients and medical personnel from the consulting facility in Cincinnati.  Consultations are primarily by phone, with follow up and support through email, fax, and other communication forms.

The job duties center around personal consultation with patients resulting in improved health states.  You will do medication reviews, applying your knowledge of drugs and drug therapies, and come up with evidence based recommendations in coordination with other clinicians.

You will also consult the patient on how to best utilize current pharmacy benefits.

Two Shifts:
1st shift Tuesday - Saturday (no holidays or Sundays)
2nd shift Monday - Friday (no holidays or weekends)


REQUIREMENTS

• MUST be a pharmacist
• MUST have OHIO pharmacist license in good standing
• MUST have some clinical background or training
• Will consider fresh PharmD grads
• Will consider retail pharmacists with some clinical or MTM background
• Preferred backgrounds include clinical, hospital, diabetes, managed care, LTC consulting
• Must have good computer skills
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be willing to work in an "office" environment
