Staff Pharmacist - Part Time
Sherman Oaks, CA
 
 
 
Position Summary:
  • This position is responsible for assisting in managing the entire pharmacy, which includes managing the pharmacy staff, facility, operations and P&L responsibility and assuring compliance with all State, Federal pharmacy laws, regulations and payor requirements. 
 
Qualifications:
 
Education:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Bachelor of Science Pharmacy.
 
Experience:
  • Twelve months experience in retail Pharmacy is preferred.
  • Marketing and sales experience preferred but not required.
 
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must understand, or learn, and execute compliance in all aspects of distribution and fulfillment in Pharmacies that are distribution sites for specific specialty pharmaceutical products.
  • Current knowledge of all applicable federal and state pharmacy laws.
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills to convey clinical information and service message to groups of various sizes and levels of clinical knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the principles, procedures and best practices related to this position.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Appropriate level of proficiency in using PC software to support business activities, especially Microsoft Office and Pharmacy dispensing system software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all employee levels.
  • The ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to employee’s and customer’s information and data.
  • Careful attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
 
Other (Required licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel etc.):
  • Current state pharmacist license.
  • Must have scheduling flexibility and be able to work overtime and/or until job is satisfactorily completed.
  • Must be able to attend after work functions such as support groups, dinners supported by pharmaceutical manufacturers, etc to build community relations.
  • Must be able to travel to local marketing events, training and other required functions.
  • Must be able to learn and adapt to new business procedural and functional requirements.
