QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Graduate with a BS or higher degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
§ Registered Pharmacist, licensed in the State of California
§ 3 years experience in Long Term Care Pharmacy helpful
§ 1 year management in Long Term Care related field helpful
RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
§ Directs and coordinates activities in the department or division for which responsibility is delegated.
§ Reviews analysis of activities, costs and operations to determine department progress towards stated goals and objectives.
§ Confers with the General Manager and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals and objectives.
§ Retains existing accounts through constant dialogue with the Directors of Nursing and Administrators at contract facilities.
§ Manages subordinate supervisors in data processing, staff pharmacists, delivery, packaging and IV.
§ Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the pharmacy.
§ Interviews, hires, and oversees the training of all employees in the pharmacy.
§ Researches and resolves complaints within the pharmacy as directed by GM.
§ Resolves complaints and concerns from the staff within the pharmacy.
§ Arranges pharmacy coverage at all times.
§ Pharmacy QA and record keeping for all statistics needed by operations.
§ Conduct weekly meetings with department supervisors.
