REPORTS TO: Director of Pharmacy
QUALIFICATIONS:
· State of WA Tech License
· 3-5 years of technician experience
· Supervisory experience helpful
· Good problem solving skills
· Good verbal and oral skills
· Ability to motivate and direct
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervision of all dispensing, EDK, and return technicians
· Prepares a schedule for the dispensing department which meets the needs of the pharmacy
· Interviews and hires qualified staff as needed
· Attends supervisor meetings and activities
· Communicates with other departments to assure the workflow throughoutthe pharmacy
· Attends to any exceptions or special requests from customers
· Solves the day to day problems of the filling department
· Develops a rapport with the purchasing department to assure proper inventory
· Coordinates the timeliness of work flow to assure that the drivers leave the pharmacy on time
· Performs the functions of dispensing technicians as needed
· Works with the Director of Pharmacy on projects for process improvement within the department
