 QUALIFICATIONS:
• WA State & National Certified & Licensed Pharmacy Technician
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Previous technician experience helpful
• Course in Medical Terminology helpful
• Computer experience helpful
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Good communication skills
• Neat/clean appearance and habits
• Punctual

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Enter new orders and check for duplicate therapy. Enter hours of administration.
• Follow pharmacy non-covered procedures and billing procedures.
• Follow pharmacy procedures on auto stop orders and clarifications.
• Complete refill order procedures according to client specific criteria and appropriate client profile
• Follow pharmacy procedure for early refills, telephone refills, auto stop medications and narcotics.
• Complete requests for supplies ordered by facility including Enterals/Nutritionals, and EDK replacement.
• Admit new residents into pharmacy profiles when intake is not available
• Discontinue medications per client specific instructions
• Maintain knowledge of several fill types in order to process labels correctly
• Calculate vacation/LOA quantities
• Assist in training new pharmacy data entry personnel
• Follow through with requests for special delivery/STAT orders. Forward problem situations unable to be solved quickly to Triage.
• Be familiar with emergency pharmacy procedures
• Be familiar with all pharmacy labeling requirements
