Job Description

We are currently seeking candidates for a Clinical Staff Pharmacist Position.  

This clinical staff pharmacist evaluates and interprets orders; compounds; and dispenses medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber. The clinical staff pharmacist will also identify, prevent, assess, and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome and promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care.

Education/Experience:  B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy and a current pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy and experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems required.

Knowledge/Skills:  Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services; proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary team or committee; and knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics is required. Problem solving ability and analytical thinking preferred.
