Each day our pharmacists serve more than 1.4 million residents of skilled nursing, assisted living, and other healthcare facilities in 47 states and Canada. Currently we have an opening for a Pharmacist at our Clinical Intervention Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
What does a Clinical Intervention Pharmacist do?
Our primary function is to support the pharmacies in multiple states by creating efficiencies in communication and performing various clinically related functions.
More specifically, we:
Ø Manage Med D/Third Party and Medicaid rejected claims by requesting real time changes to covered alternatives
Ø Initiate Prior Authorizations (PAs) or Medical Exceptions (MEs) when required by the Prescription Drug Plan (PDP)
Ø Intervene on Med A rejected claims for high cost drug therapy in order to enhance customer satisfaction for select National Account customers
Ø Support Omnicare clinical initiatives in generating Patient Specific Therapeutic Interchange (PSTI) requests for cost saving and/or therapeutically equivalent drug therapy
Ø Dose patients on Coumadin through our Therapeutic Management Anticoagulation Service – for select facilities
Ø Maintain comprehensive databases for all of our pharmacies, facilities, and prescribers
Ø Autofax communication, such as Omnicare memos or newsletters
Ø Produce monthly reports summarizing the activities accomplished for each pharmacy and reporting the outcomes of our efforts
The Position: Clinical Intervention Center Pharmacist
* Full Time Monday - Friday, roughly 1:00pm - 9:30pm
* No weekends or on call!
