Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of pharmacy services in a centralized in-patient setting
- Maintain appropriate pharmacy staffing
- Responsible for purchasing and distribution/dispensing when needed
- Develop and maintain system of financial and inventory control according to company standards, including preparation, submission, and administration of an annual departmental budget
- Evaluate drug orders for appropriateness with regard to patient condition, organ function, disease state, and concomitant therapies to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Prefer at least a minimum of 5 years Director or Supervisory level experience in a JCAHO accredited facility
- Knowledge of Meditech a plus
- Candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, using the English language
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy with either a B.S. or Pharm. D.
- Current Pharmacist License in good standing
- Must have clean background and good prior work history
