Pharmacy Branch Manager (Hayward, CA)- 000403
Description
 
This is your opportunity to be a part of the nation's leading provider of integrated home healthcare products and clinical services. 
Coram is a national provider of home infusion services and specialty pharmacy distribution with more than 80 branch locations across the country. Our nurses, pharmacists, dietitians and other clinical staff are known in the industry for providing a superior level of personalized care to thousands of home and infusion suite IV patients every day, including those with complex therapy needs.
 
We currently have this excellent opportunity in our Hayward, CA branch.
 
  • You will assume complete responsibility for managing the pharmacy department, monitoring all activities necessary to maintain effective daily operations and provide quality products and services to infusion therapy patients.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations, policies, procedures and accrediting body standards; coordinate inventory management, compounding, dispensing and clinical monitoring; maintain Power-of-Attorney, control receipts and disposition of controlled substances; conduct regular clinical meetings and provide in-services to multidisciplinary team members.
  • Drive the Primary Case Management Model and corporately sponsored initiative such as Best Demonstrated Practices, Staffing models and new processes.
  • Functions as a staff pharmacist, if required.
  • Actively participates in branch meetings.
  • Manages personnel issues for pharmacy department, coordinating staff schedules, on-call coverage, performance evaluations and exit interviews.
Qualifications
 
We require a B.S. in Pharmacy or a PharmD with at least 2 years experience in an IV alternate site environment. Current CA license and CPR certification required. Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency essential.  Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a pharmacy.  We will consider an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
