Summary:
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for the overall professional support to the pharmacists within the area of responsibility (typically a 10-20 store group).
Location: Greater San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is a new market for CVS/pharmacy in 2010.
Current CVS/pharmacy employees should refer to their local HR Business Partner to express interest in this opportunity. Preference will be given to current CVS/pharmacy employees in the selection process.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide professional support to the pharmacists within the area of responsibility
2. Support Pharmacist staffing; recruiting, hiring and development
3. Coordinate file buys
4. Oversee Pharmacy compliance for federal, state and local laws and company procedure guidelines
5. Manage the pharmacy marketing and managed care programs for the designated market area
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Directly support the opening of new stores in the market of Puerto Rico including but not limited to employee hiring, new store set up, local area marketing, and initial store operations support
Requirements:
1. Three years experience as a Pharmacy Supervisor of multiple sites in a community retail environment required for external candidates
2. Strong working knowledge of the interviewing/ selection process for pharmacists, along with the ability to train and develop required
3. Previous experience in new store openings and pharmacy file buys strongly preferred
4. Demonstrated bilingual ability (English/Spanish) required
5. Ability to relocate to Puerto Rico on/before 9/15/2009 required (for non-Puerto Rico residents)
6. Ability to accept and complete a minimum 2-year assignment to Puerto Rico required (for non-Puerto Rico residents)
7. Experience practicing pharmacy and demonstrating the professional and legal behaviors expected as a pharmacist
8. Ability to interact with the health care profession, good communication skills (written and oral)
9. B.S. or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
10. Management and supervisory experience of Pharmacy staff employees, preferably in a chain drug setting
