Clinical Pharmacist Needed for Great Opportunity

Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Maintains complete drug profiles on patients
- A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance is available
- Shift differential of $4.50/hr for 2nd shift.
- Pharmacy operates 24/7
- This is primarily at day shift position with some afternoon rotating requirements.
- Every 4th weekend is worked (Saturday and Sunday)
- No on-call
- Holiday rotation (2 out of 6 holidays worked/year)
- 60% clinical, 40% dispensing
- Pyxis on each nursing unit
- Our comprehensive pharmaceutical services include pharmacokinetic dosing, a renal dosing program, formulary management, participation in all cardiopulmonary and trauma codes and participation in multidisciplinary care rounds.
- This facility has the latest technology, on line intranet pharmacy website and formulary, and palm operating systems for assisting with clinical duties.
- In addition a growing investigational drug service with active participation in several worldwide multi-centered clinical trials.
- Recently implemented an anticoagulation clinic.
- Candidates with only retail experience will NOT be considered. New grads with strong hospital clinicals OK.
- Compounding and dispensing
- Monitors drug therapy and screens for potential adverse drug reactions
- Helps physicians plan the drug regimen
- Acts as a source of drug information for doctors, nurses and patients
- Day to day analysis, confirmation, and order entry for patients medication prior to filling of orders for the inpatient and outpatient pharmacies
- Great communication skills needed to express thoughts with co-workers, supervisors, other medical staff and all patients
- Obligated to presenting a friendly positive attitude everyday
- Must have a desire to continue to learn and contribute to improving existing practices to better the hospital
Requirements:
- New graduates welcome, hospital pharmacy experience a plus
- Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy with either a BS or Pharm D
- Current Pharmacist License in good standing
- Additional certifications are a bonus
- Must have clean background and good prior work history
