Responsible for the development and maintenance of informedRx Medicare Part D formularies and Medicare client custom formularies. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of formulary management.
|
| Responsibilities: |
|
- Develop and maintain informedRx Medicare Part D formularies.
- Work collaboratively with clients and clinical account managers to assist in development and maintenance of Medicare Part D client custom formularies.
- Assist with development and maintenance of informedRx commercial formularies.
- Serve as clinical expert for all formulary-management related activities.
- Be aware of current and emerging trends in formulary and benefit design.
- Continuously look for ways to streamline and improve the quality of the formulary management process.
- Assist in training and mentoring of pharmacy students and interns.
- Other activities as determined by the Director, Medicare Clinical Services.

| Qualifications: |
|
Excellent knowledge of all aspects of formulary management including but not limited to managing preferred drug lists, communicating formulary updates and maintaining formulary documents.
Strong knowledge of MediSpan data system including GPI drug classification system.
Familiarity with prescription benefit, formulary and clinical program design.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service orientation and commitment to professionalism.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Pharm.D. degree and pharmacy licensure or eligible to be licensed in the state of Illinois required.
- Residency trained plus minimum of one year of clinical experience required (without residency, minimum 3 years of clinical experience required).
- Previous experience in formulary management required.
- Strong clinical background in PBM, managed care or clinic practice settings desired.
- Medicare Part D formulary management experience preferred.
