Pharmacist needed at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy duties.
- Perform chart reviews of refill requests to ensure compliance with drug therapy and medical follow-up.
- Dispense medications to patients with verbal and/or written information
- Perform drug utilization reviews addressing drug usage patterns, adverse reactions, misuse and high cost
- Handle in-person, written and telephone requests for information and advice
- Comply with established standards of pharmaceutical practices
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and other health care team professionals
- Ability to make independent clinical decisions, evaluate and monitor drug therapy
- Interact professionally with health care providers, patients and the community
- Establish and maintain effective working relations with other health center staff, be sensitive to and communicate effectively with diverse patients.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
- Active Pharmacy license within the U.S. required
- Healthcare provider CPR required.
