We are a large hospital in Louisiana with a strong reputation for clinical excellence. Our medical center has been recognized with a customer choice award for the past 10 consecutive years.
We are looking for a strong Clinical Pharmacist to be part of our pediatric clinical pharmacy team work and in our hospital overseeing all aspects of pediatric patient care. You will be influencing the safe, appropriate and cost-effective pharmacotherapies through verifying medication orders, consulting with doctors and nurses on appropriate dosing and selection of therapeutic alternatives for patients and assisting the physician by monitoring the metabolic and nutritional needs of the patient. You will participate in quality improvement and DUR's. You will serve as a mentor for pharmacy students.
In this position you will work very closely with our hospital physicians and medical professionals that support them. You will report directly to the Director of Pharmacy.
We are offering a competitive salary and benefits package, Salary is based on clinical pharmacist experience.
Requirements:
-You must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Louisiana from an accredited pharmacy school
-PharmD is highly desired
-ASHP Hospital Residency experience is strongly preferred
-2 years clinical pharmacist experience is required to apply for this position
-Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
