Under the auspices of the Clinical Coordinator, the Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for assuring that the drug therapy needs of the patients are met. Ensures the prompt and accurate delivery of medications to patients and supervises the work of supportive personnel. Reviews patient medication profiles for appropriateness of therapy. Performs clinical pharmaceutical interventions as assigned. Acts as a drug information resource person to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. Supervises Pharmacy Interns and Pharmacy students. Actively participates in the department's performance improvement activities. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy required, Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree optional.
Current Registered Pharmacist licensure in the State of Florida required.
Previous hospital experience preferred.
Previous Clinical experience in an acute setting preferred.
Interpersonal and leadership skills preferred.
Good organizational skills preferred.
Be familiar with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice required.
Effective oral and written communication skills in English language required.Basic computer skills required knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel highly desirable. |
