Registered Pharmacist is responsible and accountable for providing pharmaceuticals services to the patient in accordance with regulatory requirements, professionals standards, and state and federal laws. Pharmacy services include but are not limited to the following: Interpretation of the physician's written order, subsequent preparation, compounding and dispensing of medications, requisitions of pharmaceuticals, and biologics, drug information services for physicians and other health care providers, participating in the coordination and implementation of pharmacy operations and programs for the enforcement of (state & federal) laws and regulations pertaining to drugs. The pharmacist interacts with physicians, nurses and other hospital staff. Plans, assigns, and/or supervises the work of technicians and runners. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative an independent judgment.. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Registration with Florida State Board of Pharmacy. Must possess good oral and written communications skills in the English language. Able to work under minimal supervision with extensive use of initiative and independent judgement.
One year experience (minimum) in inpatient hospital pharmacy preferred.
