JOB SUMMARY

• Performs all functions of pharmaceutical care
• Prepares and dispenses medication and IV orders if needed to step into dispensing role
• Evaluates for appropriate drug, dose, allergies, and interaction
• Monitors levels of therapeutic drugs.
• Performs and supervises computer data entry related to patient profile.
• Provides appropriate patient counseling.
• May be required to work alternate shifts.
   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review and continuing education.
• Follows policies and procedures.
• Adapts to changes in the environment.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
• Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
• Responds promptly to requests for service and assistance. 
• Abides by company confidentiality and security agreement.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program.
• Hospital Pharmacy experience or residency preferred
• Nebraska State Registered Pharmacist License   
• Prefer IV admixture experience.  
• Must have clean background and good prior work history.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent interpretive/analytical skills for pharmaceutical applications.
• Strong accuracy skills Computer experience.
