	Responsibilities
	Orient new employees. Directs activities of employees and students. Schedules Pharmacy Technicians. Prepares and/or assigns daily work and special projects to Pharmacists and Technicians. Evaluates performance of Pharmacy Technicians. Monitors performance of Pharmacists and participates in the performance appraisal process. Performs Pharmacist duties of interpreting orders, compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals. Assures delivery of quality service in area of responsibility. Serves as a liaison between Pharmacy personnel and other departments and/or physicians. Serves as a resource person concerning products, service, and procedures in area of responsibility. Participates in budgetary process. Monitors expenditures and revenue. Directs procurement of non-formulary or special drug supplies. May serve as a Pharmacy representative on hospital committees. Maintains records. BS in Pharmacy with current NC Pharmacy license required. 2-3 years experience in a hospital pharmacy required.
