We are looking for a Clinical Specialist Pharmacist to join our cardiovascular care team. Your clinical role as a pharmacist for our hospital will include: 

-Collaboration with other healthcare practitioners for optimization of interdisciplinary care using evidence-based practices.
-Assurance of continuity of pharmaceutical care of cardiovascular patients as they move among alternate care settings
-Attending rounds with cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons 
-Represent pharmacy services on cardiology-focused committees 
participate in research activities 
-Serve as preceptor for pharmacy students on cardiovascular pharmacy rotations

Qualifications for this position include: 
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree with advanced training in the area of Cardiology with a PGY2 Cardiology Residency or Fellowship preferred. PGY1 Residency with at least five years of experience in cardiology is required to apply. You must have your pharmacist license in the state of Virginia or able to reciprocate your license to the state of Virginia.
