Role: Strategic Consultant
Assignment: Pharmacy Sales and Segment Support
Assignment Capsule
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting new sales through the presentation of the Pharmacy Value Proposition during finalist presentations
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the development of key RFPs
- Provide consultative Account Management Pharmacy Support for key assigned clients,
- Deliver Annual / Quarterly account reviews of pharmacy metrics, trends, savings opportunities and potential clinical programs.
- Develop presentations consisting of consultative savings recommendations, reviews of client pharmacy performance, and other related metrics / programs.
- Track key pharmacy client and operational issues and work with the Account Team drive to resolution
- Provide sales support and account support for an assigned region / markets.
- Support and backup the Market Trend Pharmacy team as assigned
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Role Essentials
Past experience and education should consist of:
- 3-5 years of pharmacy experience required
- 1-2 years of health plan, Pharmacy Benefit Management, administrative, or other related business experience required
- Experience managing multiple priorities and multiple accounts / projects
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills
- Previous analytical experience with pharmacy trends, clinical programs preferred
- Must be willing to travel up to 30-40% at a time - travel tends to relate to the selling season and most is by automobile
Role Desirables
- Pharmacy Degree, PharmD preferred but not required
- MBA preferred, or related business experience
- Past Pharmacy Benefit Management, Account Management experience a plus.
Reporting Relationship
This position will report directly to the Director, Pharmacy Sales and Segment Support. |
