As a Pharmacy Manager you will be responsible for the total management and operation's of the pharmacy, and for its personnel. Pharmacy Manager's will report to the Unit/Store Director & Regional Director.
Duties:
Must have an ability to...
- provide excellent customer service by building and maintaining customer relations.
- promote the growth of the business.
- perform financial checking of prescriptions and counseling on required prescriptions.
- provide leadership and direction for pharmacy partners.
- maintain workflow and quality control methods to insure a safe environment.
- manage human resources including: interviewing, hiring, training and development, conducting performance reviews, and holding partners accountable for their performance.
- schedule labor according to business needs and partner availability.
Must take ultimate responsibility for all legal practices and functions within the pharmacy, including..
- ensuring that department abides by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) and Federal (DEA) regulations.
- ensuring that department abides by Department of Public Safety (DPS) regulations including CII requirements.
- ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI).
- being knowledgable of HEB Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- completing State Board minimum of 30 credited hours of continuing education every 2 years.
- conducting bi-annual inventory of controlled substances.
- ensuring security procedures are followed and maintained.
Requirements:
- B.S. or Ph.D from an accredited school of pharmacy
- licensed in Texas by the State Board of Pharmacy
- two (2) years of experience as a Pharmacist
- possess business and pharmacy management skills
- excellent communication, interpersonal skills
- demonstrate good work techniques,flexible and adaptable with time management skills
- positive, energetic attitude
- great team player (coaches other's, leads by example)
- precise, detail-oriented, and results-oriented
- must successfully complete the follwoing courses within six (6) months of assuming the position of Pharmacy Manager:
- HEB Rx course: Intro. to Windows and the Rx intranet (4hrs.)
- HEB Rx course: Intro. to RxEVO
- HEB course: HIPAA training
- and other courses designated for Pharmacy Manager's.
- complete State Board minimum of 30 credited hours of continuing education every 2 years
