CLINICAL PHARMACY SPECIALIST
The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is an experienced practitioner with advance clinical skills, he or she provides direct patient-specific pharmacotherapy and clinical services to the hospital patients following current, evidence-based guidelines and in conformity of applicable medication management standards. The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is a medication management resource to the patient care team.
Requirements:
Current Nevada license required.
Educational Experience:
Must be a graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education(ACPE) leading to a Bachelor of Science or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
Completion of an accredited residency program or Pharm.D. with a minimum of three years clinical pharmacy practice in a predominantly collaborative pharmacotherapy setting is required or
B.S. of Pharmacy with a minimum of five years clinical pharmacy practice in a predominantly collaborative pharmacotherapy setting is required.
Current Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or other clinical specialties is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five years clinical pharmacy practice in a predominantly collaborative pharmacotherapy setting is required.
