JOB SUMMARY:
Director, PET Sales Support will be responsible for delivering PET reimbursement and sales support to external and internal customers. Candidate will be responsible for defining and developing value added services in order to finalize prospective contractual agreements. The candidate will be the organization’s PET reimbursement and Clinical resource and advocate to customers, prospective customers, professional associations and business partners within assigned territory, working within the limits of established policy.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?
Work with assigned Sales Director(s) to define the opportunities and value propositions that will favorably impact contract decisions made by potential or existing customers. Call on existing and prospective customers, with the Sales Directors or separately to provide effective resources including marketing, educational, or reimbursement information to support the technologists, physicians and others involved in PET clinical activities;
?
Provide authoritative guidance in relation to use of PET products in clinical use; Maintain current awareness of emerging trends in the health care environment; Identify and report on market trends and the needs of key customers, business partners and thought leaders;
?
Evaluate reimbursement status of current PET products and future PET Biomarkers as they become available and to develop strategies to work with local Medicare Administrative Contractors (MAC) and private payers to address reimbursement issues;
?
Provide training and project management to Marketing and Sales regarding reimbursement and clinical use of PET Isotopes; develop in conjunction with Product Management and Marketing communications informational materials for customers, sales representatives and others as appropriate;
?
Participate in the development and negotiation of large, significant, or critical contracts, guided by management;
?
Interface with originating companies in production of compliant, educational and promotional materials;
?
Act as the company’s liaison to regional professional association groups and communicate with regional thought-leaders to initiate opportunities to develop strategic product advocates and collaborate on the creation of regional PET educational programs;
?
Recommend strategic business relationships with specific thought-leaders; Identify and facilitate opportunities to support PET clinical development process; Coordinate, attend and participate medical education events within respective territory; Create and deliver PET educational presentations for internal and external customers;

Maintain current required professional certifications;
?
Document and track contacts, status and all information related to interactions with customers and prospects; Update customer profiles as appropriate; Prepare analyses and conduct special projects as assigned, and prepare related reports; Prepare and submit expense reports;

Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines;
?
Perform other related duties as assigned.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Company vehicle, computer, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
?
Bachelors of Science or equivalent in nuclear technology or related field preferred;
?
5+ years experience in Clinical PET operations required;
?
Appropriate training and experience in medical coding ( HCPCS, CPT, HOPPS) and reimbursement procedures
?
Previous experience with developing educational materials for both sales organizations and clinical practices;
?
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and complete necessary work functions with a minimum of supervision;
?
Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members across various operational groups;
?
Strong technical writing skills and ability to develop, and implement policies and procedures related compliance;
?
Ability to develop, organize and facilitate training both on-site and remotely through use of media.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination. Work involves reading and interpretation of written information in hard copy and on computer screen, communication on the telephone and in person, effective and efficient operation of computer and effective writing skills. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours to meet pharmacy schedule demands. Training responsibility may require ability to demonstrate use of equipment in field – moderate lifting up to 30 pounds. Travel 50% of time to pharmacy locations and throughout Triad business system. This will include travel by automobile, aircraft (commercial or chartered) or other general transportation means.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position responsibilities are primarily carried out off-site in hospitals and facilities.
