Job Description

Clinical Pharmacist: Oncology

Immediate opening for a Clinical Pharmacist Oncology position. This is a full-time position with full benefits. If you qualified and looking for a great position please email your most current resume as soon as possible.

The Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years of experience in hospital environment
- Strong leadership skills
- Pharmacy Residency at an accredited program preferred techniques).

Extensive knowledge of medicine (drugs, dosages, side effects, handling), and extensive knowledge of the legal, regulatory and standards of practice of the profession. The ability to integrate knowledge into daily practice. Considerable skills in literature and protocol evaluation and development of critical pathways and best practice guidelines in a multidisciplinary setting. Considerable skills in working within a computerized pharmacy department and skill in using a personnel computer and software such as word processing and spreadsheets. Ability to serve as a role model for staff pharmacists. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.

More About the Position:
The Clinical Pharmacist's Number One job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time and to understand how he or she contributes to the health system's vision of achieving that commitment to patients and families. Performs clinical pharmacy services ensuring the development, implementation and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies. Provides and supports pharmacy and other organizational programs. Works closely with the Pharmacy Manager to implement programs and patient care activities. Works holiday/weekend rotation as a staff pharmacist. Assists in providing staff development/orientation. Assists with precepting of students.
