Our client, a privately held provider of specialty infusion pharmacy products and clinical services to home-based patients, is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for their Tulsa, Oklahoma operation.
As Pharmacy Manager, you will work closely with patients and medical professionals to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking and hands-on, working manager with a solid understanding of infusion therapies, home-care pharmacy operations and strong clinical leadership skills.
A summary of responsibilities includes:
- Oversee day to day management of the pharmacy department to ensure that quality products and services are provided to infusion therapy patients.
- Direct pharmacy inventory management, prescription compounding, dispensing processes, and supply management and delivery processes.
- Supervise direct reports (pharmacists and technicians), including interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
- Direct and coordinate pharmacy in-service programs and ensure ongoing communication among care staff members
- Monitor patient satisfaction and indentify areas for on-going improvement.
- Communicate with patients and medical staff, providing clinical expertise.
- Hand-on, "working" manager with solid understanding of infusion trerapies, operations of home care pharmacy and strong clinical leadership skills.
- Weekday schedule, with evening and weekend on-call service on a rotational basis.
Requirements:
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree (preferred)
- At least two years of supervisory/managment experience in hospital, LTC or home health care pharmacy setting
- Minimum of three years Home Infusion Pharmacy management experience desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse customer group
- Solid knowledge of infusion therapies
- Accuracy in mathematical calculations including pharmokinetic dosing
