Pharmacy Technician (Full-time)
Dameron Hospital, Stockton, CA
Rotating Functions and Shifts - As a Pharmacy Technician at Dameron Inpatient, you will rotate through shifts in a fast paced, multifaceted environment with a cohesive team atmosphere. The Dameron Pharmacy staff work as a team, helping each other and keeping one another accountable in their shared mission of providing the best support for physicians and nurses so that they may provide the best care for patients.
Description-Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacists, you’ll prepare, compound, and distribute medications for use in the hospital. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. You'll use automated technology to efficiently and safely meet patients' pharmaceutical needs. You'll also work in a state-of-the-art IV clean room to prepare intravenous infusions.
Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion.
Qualifications Required:
- Certified pharmacy technician with CA licensure
- At least 6 months previous pharmacy technician experience (beyond the externship) in a hospital setting experience.
- Ability to execute complex instructions
-Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated skill in providing good customer service
- Experience and skill in using Microsoft Office
