Full Time - Clinical Pharmacy Informaticist

New Informatics/Clinical Pharmacist Opportunity!

The Informatics/Clinical Pharmacist's role will have 2 components. This individual will be responsibility for maximizing the benefits of technology for clinical, quality and financial performance metrics. Job duties will include workflow analysis, testing, implementation and customization of clinical applications, on-call support, database maintenance, maintain of advanced pharmacy systems (eg, Pyxis, Acudose, barcode scanning) and staff education. The Informatics Pharmacist will be a liaison to other hospital departments for technology related matters in the pharmacy. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the successful candidate should work very well in a team environment.

The candidate will also provide integrated contemporary pharmacy services to SLWH patients, including interpretation of medication orders, dispensing of pharmaceuticals, clinical monitoring and evaluation of drug therapy and the provision of drug information to patients and healthcare providers.

Required Experience

-B.S.Pharm or PharmD Licensure in good standing in the state of Texas.

-Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting

Preferred Experience

Informatics experience or training with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (Acudose/Pyxis), barcoding, eMAR, Electronic Medical/Health Records, CPOE, and experience with Pharmacy information systems (eg, McKesson, Epic).
