As a Staff Pharmacist you will be responsible for the operation's of the pharmacy department and its personnel, and will lead the team by becoming the manager in charge in the Pharmacy Manager's absence. Staff pharmicst's will report to the Pharmacy Manager,Unit/Store Director & Regional Director. 

Duties:

Must have an ability to...

• provide excellent customer service by building and maintaining customer relations.
• perform financial checking of prescriptions and counseling on required prescriptions.
• provide leadership skills to assist partners in training and development.
• maintain workflow and quality control methods to insure a safe environment.
• perform functions related to managing and operating a pharmacy in a retail environment.
• adhere to Pharmacy law and sound, legal practices and responsibilities.

In the absence of Pharmacy Management, will also...

• ensure that department abides by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) and Federal (DEA) regulations.
• ensure that department abides by Department of Public Safety (DPS) regulations including CII requirements.
• ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• be knowledgable of HEB Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• complete State Board minimum of 30 credited hours of continuing education every 2 years.
• conduct bi-annual inventory of controlled substances.
• ensure security procedures are maintained.

Requirements:

• B.S. or Ph.D from an accredited school of pharmacy
• licensed in Texas by the State Board of Pharmacy
• possess business and pharmacy management skills
• excellent communication, interpersonal skills
• demonstrate good work techniques,flexible and adaptable with time management skills
• positive, energetic attitude
• great team player (coaches other's, leads by example)
• must successfully complete the follwoing courses within six (6) months of assuming the position of Staff Pharmacist:
  1. HEB Rx course: Intro. to Windows and the Rx intranet (4hrs.)
  2. HEB Rx course: Intro. to RxEVO
  3. HEB course: HIPAA training
  4. and other courses designated for Staff Pharmacist's.
• complete State Board minimum of 30 credited hours of continuing education every 2 years
