Pharmacy Supervisor (Oklahoma City)- 001414

Description

As the pharmacy supervisor you will supervise pharmacy support personnel and/or interns in the appropriate mixing, packaging, labeling of pharmaceuticals. Participate in investigational drug studies as required and maintains all appropriate records. Maintains
procedures for appropriate security of all legend items, including controlled substances.
 
Interpret and evaluate all physician's medication orders to assure therapeutic appropriateness and accurately compound IV admixtures. Provide technical and clinical information and communicate results of monitoring activities to patients, nurses and physicians regarding contents, utilization, therapeutic actions, possible adverse reactions or interactions of drugs.
 
Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending for hire, and educating employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and problems.
 
 

 

Qualifications
 
Bachelors Degree (BS) in Pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited college or university.
Possess a minimum of three years experience in the field of pharmacy preparation of large volume parenterals/enterals and intravenous antibiotic or chemotherapeutic agents.
 
Current license for state of practice.  Current CPR certification if involved with direct patient contact.
