Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH) is a 408 bed, not for profit teaching hospital located in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. It is the flagship hospital of Cottage Health  System with affiliated hospitals in the cities of Goleta and Santa Ynez Valley.

 

SBCH offers the supportive environment of a community hospital, with the most up-to-date services available and cutting-edge technology. Currently we are in the middle of a multi-year technology upgrade which includes pharmacy robotics and physician order entry as well as bar code verification for the administration of medications. Our hospital is being rebuilt from the ground up and the new pharmacy will have the latest automation to ensure quality of patient care and safety.

 

We are a training site for medical, surgical and radiology residents as well as doctor of pharmacy students. Scheduling is 7 days on, 7 days off. New hires receive an intensive pharmacy orientation and training program.
