Role: Director of Pharmacy Supply Chain Strategies
Location: Louisville, KY
Assignment Capsule
The Director of Pharmacy Supply Chain Strategies will provide overall leadership and direction for procurement of brand, generic and specialty pharmaceuticals for Humana Pharmacy Solutions.
- Consolidating the pharmacy purchasing work with (a) network pharmacy, (b) drug manufacturers, and (c) Humana-owned operations.
- Connecting dots between the various pharmacy purchasing elements and ensuring right, consistent price or variation where it makes sense.
- Looking end-to-end across the pharmacy supply chain.
- Implementing programs for cost reduction and lead-time reduction within the supply chain.
- Providing leadership to realize continuous improvement in the supply chain processes.

Role Essentials
- Bachelor Degree in Business or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management
- Experience managing complex and multiple programs and projects
- Strong systems and process experience
- Proven record of identifying process gaps and implementing improvements
- Excellent analytical skills
- Effective negotiating skills specific to achieving favorable prices and services
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
Role Desirables
- Masters in Business Administration
- Experience in 2 of the following areas: manufacturing, retail, wholesale and/or pharmacy benefit management
